This year marks the 85th anniversary of the passing of Dr. Norman Bethune, who is a symbol of China-Canada friendship. The Bethune spirit has inspired generation after generation of people in both countries.

On November 1, Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries （CPAFFC）held a seminar at Beijing with the theme of " China-Canada Friendship Symposium in Commemoration of the 85th Anniversary of the Dr. Norman Bethune ". ICCIC Chair Michael Crook, Vice-Chair Yu Lin, David Evans and members attended.
