Add Time :2024-12-19      Hits:8

In response to the 'San Francisco Vision' agreed upon during the 2023 APEC conference and President Xi Jinping's proposal to invite 50,000 American youths to China for exchanges and learning over the next five years, the Camp Gung Ho 2024 was held in Wuxi from July 24 to August 2, jointly hosted by the Helen Foster Snow Foundation and the China Prospect Program. The camp was co-organized and supported by the International Committee for the Promotion of Chinese Industrial Cooperatives (ICCIC-Gung Ho), the Wuxi Lingshan Charity Foundation, and the Wuxi Education International Exchange Centre.

46 U.S. students from seven states and 48 Chinese students from five provinces and cities, guided by the spirit of “work hard, work together”, experienced 10 days of colourful and entertaining summer camp activities, which allowed these Chinese and U.S. ‘Generation Z’ youth to exchange and interact with each other. The ‘Generation Z’ youth from China and the United States were able to have a lasting friendship during the exchange and interaction, building more bridges of youthful vitality for the China-US relationship.

The summer camp strengthens friendship and exchanges between Chinese and American youth through cultural, sports, artistic, experiential learning, and public welfare activities with Chinese and local characteristics.
